Streets & Trips is Microsoft's consumer mapping solution for North America, AutoRoute is it's European counterpart. They share the same map data format with MapPoint. They are updated every year, whereas MapPoint is updated every two years, and MapPoint costs significantly more.

Follow the steps below to update the maps of your MapPoint installation.

1. Do a full install of Streets & Trips or AutoRoute that places all the data on the hard disk, rather than running from the CD,
   　
2. Under the folder where you installed Streets & Trips or AutoRoute, locate the 'Data' folder. Copy all the files in this folder to the corresponding 'Data' folder under the folder where you installed MapPoint. 14 files will be overwritten with like-named files.

Now MapPoint(and APRSPoint) is updated with the latest maps from Streets & Trips or AutoRoute.
